The W. Lake Houston Parkway runs from Sam Houston Parkway through zip code 77044 along the west side of Lake Houston, continuing through the Atascocita area (zip 77346) and into the Kingwood area.
The southern part of the parkway travels through Summerwood, a master planned community, and other recent developments with newer existing homes and newly built homes. Residents in this area attend schools in the Humble ISD.
